Non-Surgical Periodontal Treatment
Proudly serving the DFW Metroplex with statewide availability across Texas
What is Periodontal Endoscope Therapy (PET)?
Periodontal Endoscope Therapy (PET) is a highly advanced, minimally invasive approach to treating gum disease. Using a fiber-optic camera with up to 100x magnification, PET allows the hygienist to see deep beneath the gumline to precisely remove bacteria and calculus that cause infection. Unlike traditional methods, this isn’t “blind cleaning”—we can actually see and target the problem areas.
Why Train With Us?
Key benefits of PET
- Avoids periodontal surgery in many cases
- More precise than traditional scaling and root planing (deep cleaning)
- Less discomfort, faster recovery
- Helps stabilize gum health and preserve natural teeth
- Cost-effective — often thousands of dollars cheaper than surgery at a
specialist’s office
PET vs. traditional periodontal surgery
Traditional periodontal surgery involves cutting the gums to gain access to the roots and bone, followed by sutures and a longer recovery. While sometimes necessary in severe cases, surgery can be invasive,
uncomfortable, and expensive.
PET offers a much less invasive alternative. With advanced magnification, we can achieve surgical-level cleaning without cutting the gums—making it an excellent first step before surgery is ever considered.

Gum Disease / Symptoms
Periodontal disease, often called gum disease, is a chronic infection that affects the supporting tissues around your teeth. While poor oral hygiene and bacteria play a role, genetics is one of the strongest risk factors. Some people are more prone to gum disease even with good home care, which is why early diagnosis and professional treatment are so important.
